Project Support
March 3, 2011
We are delighted to announce that we have recently awarded new funding to Warrington-based charity, the West Warrington Partnership.
The charity, which provides free meals and sign-posting to financial advisory services to local families in need, will use the £750 donation to help run its Spindles program.
John Thompson, at the West Warrington Partnership, explains: “As a charitable organisation we rely on voluntary contributions from the public, so we are delighted to receive such a donation from David Wilson Homes North West.
“The funding will go a long way towards helping us to sustain our program, which provides free meals in a restaurant-type environment to families who would not usually be able to afford such a luxury. This not only helps to promote healthy eating, but it also provides the families with a sense of community cohesion. We would like to thank the team at David Wilson Homes North West for their generosity.”
Graham Swann, managing director at David Wilson Homes North West, comments: “We are delighted to be able to help support the West Warrington Partnership. We created the North West Community Fund initiative to help communities improve the area in which they live, and this organisation does just that.
“We are now looking to assign our next allocation of funding and resource, so we encourage anyone who is part of a community group, charity or organisation in the North West to get in touch and let us know how they could use a donation or volunteers from our team.
“In the meantime, we look forward to continuing to support the team at the West Warrington Partnership in the fantastic work that they do.”
