A Sandbach school, Elworth Hall Primary, is able to fulfil its wish of offering extra PE lessons to its pupils, thanks to support from local housebuilder, David Wilson Homes (DWH) North West.

Elworth Primary School, successfully applied for funds through DWH North West’s charitable and community scheme, North West Community Fund. These funds have been used to provide outdoor storage space for PR equipment. The school had secured funding for extra PE lessons and for sporting goods, but had nowhere to properly store them because its existing outdoor cupboards were decaying.

DWH North West’s donation means that the school can now go ahead and purchase the extra equipment it needs and care for it with a purpose built facility.

Andrew Taylor, North West Community Fund Project Coordinator and Planning Director at DWH North West, comments: “At David Wilson Homes, we are dedicated to building strong communities in areas surrounding our developments. We often support sporting causes and really wanted to help Elworth Hall offer extra PE lessons to its pupils. Building new outdoor storage has made this possible and we hope that the pupils enjoy their games.”

Elworth Hall Primary School is situated close to DWH North West’s Gilbert’s Cross development in Sandbach. The site offers homes with between two and five bedrooms with prices starting at £149,995. To view a property or for more information, call 0844 811 33 66. Alternatively, the site office is open Mondays 12.30 – 5.30pm and Thursday to Sunday 10am – 5.30pm.

The housebuilder’s North West Community Fund scheme offers support to community groups in the region through volunteering time or funding.  Applications can be made through its website: www.northwestcommunityfund.co.uk.

DWH North West has recently scooped a prestigious Five Star award by the National Home Builder’s Federation (NHF) for the seventh consecutive year – the only national housebuilder to achieve this accolade.
