June 15, 2012Two hard working development labourers from Newton-le-Willows saw their efforts rewarded when local housebuilder, David Wilson Homes North West, promoted the pair onto its trainee assistant manager scheme.
Having built up a wide range of experience after working across a number of developments in the North West region, Max Broughton and Danny Melia have recently started on the David Wilson Homes trainee initiative.
Danny comments: “After leaving school Max and I worked as plasterers for David Wilson Homes North West before becoming development labourers. We have always felt supported in our careers, rewarded for hard work and provided with opportunities to continually improve our skills. We are really excited about our recent promotion.”
“I am currently based at Wepre Green in Flintshire whilst Max is at Elmtree Grange in Newton-le-Willows. We are both enjoying working on relatively new developments – it’s really satisfying seeing a job from the very beginning right through to when customers begin moving into their new homes.”
The Trainee Assistant Site Manager role will encompass a wide range of tuition from health and safety to customer service, as well as hands on building experience.
Ian Durband, Construction Director at David Wilson Homes North West, explains: “At David Wilson Homes North West we are committed to helping our staff develop in their careers and reward hard work accordingly. We feel sure that Max and Danny with thrive in their new roles and look forward to seeing them develop the necessary skills and knowledge required to become successful site managers in the construction industry.”
