Project Support
November 22, 2011
We recently worked with the Worsley Mesnes South Community Action Group to help it continue to provide a variety of activities for people of all ages at its Community Centre.
Our support will enable the Action Group, in partnership with Lifestyle Interiors, to replace damaged blinds that hang on all of the windows around the building, to not only improve the Centre’s decor but to also help increase security during the evening.
David Hurst of Worsley Mesnes South Community Action Group comments: “We were absolutely thrilled when David Wilson Homes North West offered to replace our blinds.
“At Worsley Mesnes South Community Action Group we are all volunteers and the Centre is largely self funded, so when we need something replacing, we look have to source funding from elsewhere, which can often prove difficult to do.
“The donation from David Wilson Homes North West will allow us to replace the damaged blinds, to not only spruce up the interior of the Community Centre, but to also give us the security we need to continue our evening activity nights, such as line dancing, free IT classes, a youth club, sewing classes – to name but a few.
“I’d like to thank David Wilson Homes North West for their generous donation, we are extremely grateful.”
Neil Bradley North West Community Fund co-ordinator from David Wilson Homes North West, comments: “The Worsley Mesnes South Community Action Group is of great value to its local community and offers a variety of fantastic activities for all ages, so we were delighted to be able to offer our support. We’d like to wish the Group the best of luck, and look forward to hearing about their progress in the future.”
