Project Support
July 30, 2013Residents at Meadowview Care Home are the latest to benefit from David Wilson Homes North West’s North West Community Fund community initiative after receiving £1,500 to re-landscape the home’s courtyards.
Meadowview Care Home, based in Warrington, offers a home-from-home for elderly dementia sufferers and the North West Community Fund funding has helped to provide residents with an invaluable outside space for them to enjoy with their friends and relatives.
Carol Everton, Manager at Meadowview, comments: “We are delighted with the improvements that the North West Community Fund scheme has facilitated. It has made a big difference to our outside environment and we have already had a number of comments from residents and their families about the new courtyard area.
“We would like to thank David Wilson Homes North West for the contribution which has undoubtedly improved the quality of life for residents, providing them with a suitable visiting area to enjoy with their families. With the lovely weather we have had recently, the residents have really enjoyed sitting out and admiring the scenery, so we know it will be put to good use over the coming months.”
Steve Jackson, North West Community Fund Project Coordinator at David Wilson Homes North West, adds: “Through the North West Community Fund scheme we are committed to supporting and developing the communities in which we build. Warrington is the home of our flagship development, Chapelford Village, so we are keen to provide support to worthwhile causes in the area, such as Meadowview Care Home.”
The North West Community Fund scheme helps community groups with either volunteer time or funding, the only condition is that this support is used for something that will genuinely enhance or improve a service, facilities or the environment within the local area. Click here to apply
