Project Support
July 18, 2011We recently partnered with the Lancashire Fire & Rescue Service to support its Prince’s Trust Team Programme.
The 12 week personal development programme aims to motivate, engage and support young people between the ages of 16 and 25, to help them to make positive life-changing experiences.
As part of the programme, the Prince’s Trust Team recently undertook a community project to re-develop a local area by renovating the INTAG (Ingol & Tanterton Action Group) Community Centre and our donation helped the organisation to buy materials, equipment, fencing and paint for the project.
Barry Tucker of Lancashire Fire & Rescue Service comments: “We were delighted when we found out that David Wilson Homes North West was going to support our project. The INTAG really benefits the community by engaging local residents, both young and old. I look forward to working with David Wilson Homes North West and would like to thank them for their generous donation.”
Graham Swann, Managing Director at David Wilson Homes North West, adds: “Here at David Wilson Homes North West we aim to build communities, not just houses, so when we found out about the Lancashire Fire & Rescue Service’s project we couldn’t wait to get on board. The partnership is the perfect way to bring the community together, and I’m pleased we are able to play a part in this.”
