Festive fun provided for Northwich children’s cancer charity

December 22, 2016 Festive fun provided for Northwich children’s cancer charity
David Wilson Homes provided festive fun for Northwich charity, Joshua Tree.

Families living with childhood cancer have enjoyed an extra special Christmas party this year, with support from local housebuilder, David Wilson Homes (DWH) North West.

The Five Star Housebuilder stepped in to boost festive funds for Northwich children’s charity, Joshua Tree, helping to make its Christmas party even more magical.

DWH provided everything the charity needed to create Yuletide goody bags for each of the party guests, which included children supported by the charity, as well as their siblings. The housebuilder also bought Christmas chocolates and gingerbread decorating kits to add some extra festive flavour to the event at Bethel Church in Northwich.

Party organisers also arranged a visit from Father Christmas and kids’ entertainer, Dave Jellybean, who put on a fun-filled act to help make the party extra memorable.

Joshua Tree supports families across the North West living with the life-changing experience of childhood cancer. The Northwich based charity offers support to the whole family – patient, parents, siblings, and grandparents with one-to-one support, practical and therapeutic help to ensure that life remains as normal as possible during an incredibly traumatic time.

DWH Sales Director, Steve Jackson, said: “We’re keen to help deserving causes around our developments, especially at Christmas, which is such a special time for children. We jumped at the chance to help Joshua Tree by helping to provide some festive surprises for their party, which was a great success.”

DWH has a longstanding relationship with Northwich and its community and is building two, three and four bedroom homes at its Winnington Village development in the town.

Winnington Village’s marketing suite and show homes are open Monday 12.30-5.30pm and Thursday to Sunday 10am-5.30pm. Call 0844 811 33 66  for more information or visit www.dwh.co.uk.
