DWH honours Dakota View troops

Community Impact

October 18, 2010 DWH honours Dakota View troops

We recently honoured the veterans of RAF Burtonwood by hosting a celebration event at our Dakota View development in Chapelford Urban Village, Warrington.

The event saw former servicemen and members of the Burtonwood Association travel across the Atlantic to the North West to visit the development, which is located on the former site of the base, to enjoy an afternoon of tea, cakes and some good old-fashioned dancing!

This part of the North West has become a recognised heritage site and many people, both from the local community and across the pond, hold strong connections and fond memories from RAF Burtonwood.

We wanted to invite the members of the Burtonwood Association to Dakota View for an afternoon of entertainment and a special viewing of the development, to round off their trip to the North West region.

Everyone had a lovely time and the lounge area of our show home made the perfect space for an impromptu forties swing session!
