David Wilson Homes has made a donation towards new kit to a local tennis club in Rossendale, Lancashire as part of the North West Community Fund initiative.
Parkwood Lawn Tennis Club, which was founded nearly 100 years ago, has been popular amongst locals looking to learn how to play tennis, keep fit and play competitively.
The donation has helped pay for new rackets, tennis balls, nets and hire of indoor courts. In total, the leading house builder donated £230 to the club.
Val Bertenshaw, one of the club’s organisers, said, “We’re very grateful for the donation from David Wilson Homes. Being an independently run club, donations contribute to the growth of the club so we can get even more of the local community involved.
Lynton Dudgeon, Sales Director at David Wilson Homes North West, said, “We’re really pleased we were able to donate money towards some new equipment for Parkwood Lawn Tennis Club. We’re always looking for new ways to give back to the local community and we know what a great club this is for people in the area.”
