Barratt and David Wilson Homes North West is the new sponsor of the latest tournament held by Whalley Tennis Club.
The tournament, which has been named ‘Monk’s Cross Singles Box League’, will see six men’s and two women’s leagues, with the winners of each league promoted. This tournament will be the first of its kind at Whalley Tennis Club and is a tradition they hope to continue.
The donation was made through David Wilson’s community initiative North West Community Fund. The scheme aims to support community projects and local charities throughout the region.
Steve Jackson, Sales Director at David Wilson North West said, “We have a fantastic range of houses available in Clitheroe and we want to make sure that we leave a legacy in the area.
“We hope that the players enjoy the new tournament and would encourage other people in the areas and the homeowners at Monk’s Cross to get active and enquire about joining the tennis club.”
Tim Lynas, (37) Fundraiser for Whalley Tennis club said, “Whalley Tennis Club would like to say a big thank David Wilson Homes for their support. We are delighted to be working in partnership with you this season as we look to encourage people to play tennis, get active and have fun.”
