Community Impact
May 14, 2013David Wilson Homes North West is delighted to announce a number of significant contributions to improve community services and facilities surrounding its Heritage Park development in Staffordshire. In particular, a large investment has been made towards a brand new football facility linking Heritage Park to the adjoining Countryside Park.
This new amenity will comprise of a range of football regulation standard changing facilities, a 70 person capacity community room, and kitchen and storage areas with toilets accessible by the public – ideal for locals out walking in the nearby countryside.
Andrew Taylor, Planning Director at David Wilson Homes North West, comments: “At David Wilson Homes North West we pride ourselves on not only building thoughtfully designed properties that meet the needs of local purchasers, but also on ensuring that these homes form communities in which people aspire to live. As part of this commitment we are delighted to fund and support this new community asset.”
Due to be completed in December, this contemporary community facility will provide a base for the long-established Silverdale Athletics Football Club, which works with disadvantaged young people in the area. In addition, it will also be accessible to the local community and there has already been keen interest expressed in using the facility from Keele University students’ union.
As part of the project, David Wilson Homes North West has also funded two football pitches, comprising a junior and a senior sized pitch, which will be ready for action at the beginning of the new football season in August.
