Community Impact
December 19, 2014David Wilson Homes has wrapped up show homes in Liverpool and Northwich with a big red bow to mark the launch of its Christmas partnership with the Trussel Trust Food Bank.
The giant ‘Christmas presents’ at Claremont Gardens in Liverpool and Winnington Village in Northwich have been wrapped in a red ribbon and giant gift tag which will act as drop-off points for the local community to donate food items.
The Christmas campaign encourages people to donate food items along with deodorant, shampoo and personal products, which will be collected for local people in need. All food and personal items will be welcomed at the on-site sales centres.
Steve Jackson, sales director, said: “We’re encouraging people to get involved in the Christmas campaign and buy a few extra food items in their weekly shop to make a huge difference to those less fortunate.
“The team at David Wilson Homes are completely behind the campaign and hope the local community will also get involved, especially as everything that is donated will stay in the region to help those who need it most.”
We’re looking for precooked rice, noodles, tinned goods, coffee and fruit juice. Download a full foodbank shopping list here to see what we need.
