A Crosby football team is starting the season with a much-needed brand new football kit, thanks to support from local housebuilder, David Wilson Homes (DWH) North West.

St Mary’s FC, successfully applied for funds through DWH North West’s charitable and community scheme, North West Community Fund.

These funds have been used to provide the team with a brand new kit in which to begin the 2017 season.

Andrew Taylor, North West Community Fund Project Coordinator and Planning Director at DWH North West, comments: “At David Wilson Homes, we are dedicated to building strong communities in areas surrounding our developments. As keen sporting fans, we were only too happy to support a local football team and we hope that the new kit brings them luck.”

Ged Stringer, Treasurer, St Mary’s Old Boys FC, said: “We were delighted that David Wilson Homes North West stepped in to help us by sponsoring a new kit.  St Mary’s Old Boys has a proud history in and around the Merseyside area, and in its heyday had 5 teams competing in various Liver

pool leagues.

“With just the veteran’s team now running, we enjoy competitive fixtures around the North West and North Wales and the help from DWH will ensure that we continue playing for many years to come.  We will wear our new kit proudly!”

DWH North West has several sites in the region. One such development is Pavilion Gardens, which comprises three and four bedroom homes with prices starting from £207,995. The development, which has great commuter links as well as access to the town and its coast, is available to view Mondays 12.30pm-5.30pm and Thursday to Sunday 10am-5.30pm. For sales enquiries, please call 0844 811 33 66.

The housebuilder’s North West Community Fund scheme offers support to community groups in the region through volunteering time or funding.  Applications can be made through its website: www.northwestcommunityfund.co.uk.

DWH North West has recently scooped a prestigious Five Star award by the National Home Builder’s Federation (NHF) for the seventh consecutive year – the only national housebuilder to achieve this accolade.
