Continued support for local football club

A year on from David Wilson Homes North West’s initial sponsorship support of Newton-le-Willows Football Club through the popular North West Community Fund scheme, the relationship between the housebuilder and the aspiring club continues to flourish.

Having previously provided funding to the football club to help purchase new kits for the under 17’s team, this summer David Wilson Homes North West was delighted to sponsor the Newton le Willows annual football event through the provision of trophies and a trophy presentation area.

Jeff Taylor, chairman of Newton-le-Willows Football Club, comments: “We are absolutely delighted that the relationship our club has with David Wilson Homes North West continues to grow and we really appreciate their support.

“The weekend of our annual football tournament was a complete success, and the trophy presentation on the Sunday afternoon by David Ince from David Wilson Homes was the icing on the cake!”

David Ince, North West Community Fund Project Coordinator at David Wilson Homes North West, adds: “Through the North West Community Fund community bursary scheme, we strive to support volunteer run clubs, especially those that engage local residents and help to encourage an active lifestyle.

“It was an honor to award the winning teams with their trophies after an exciting weekend of fun and laughter. It was a pleasure to see teams from all over the North West come together – even the sun was shining!”
