Project Support
September 17, 2012
Community groups: Support is available for community groups across the region as the latest round of David Wilson Homes’ community initiative, North West Community Fund, opens for applications.
Since its launch in 2010, the North West Community Fund scheme has helped more than 40 organisations in the North West with either funding or volunteer time.
David Wilson Homes North West recently held a fun day for staff and their families to raise money for the North West Community Fund fund. Kids and adults alike got involved with everything from tugs of war to face painting to raise more than £2,700 for the scheme.
Graham Swann, managing director at David Wilson Homes North West, explains: “This scheme offers both funding and physical assistance with a project, as organisations can also apply for resource in the form of volunteers from our team. Staff and suppliers have been incredibly generous with their time already and are keen to continue offering a helping hand to groups across the region.”
“We are delighted at the difference North West Community Fund has already made but there is still more to be done and we encourage any organisations that are looking for support to get in touch now.”
North West Community Fund offers contributions from £100 to £1500 and the only condition is that the funding is used for something that will genuinely enhance or improve a service, facilities or the environment within their local area.
To apply, simply download and complete an application form.
The closing date for the current round of entries is 30 September 2012 and successful applicants will be announced at the end of October 2012.
